Silverton Yachts, founded in the late 1960s in New Jersey, established a reputation for building comfortable, spacious, and affordable mid-size cruisers, convertibles, and motor yachts. Known for maximizing interior space and offering great value, they were popular choices for families, couples, and those looking for liveaboard comfort. Silverton aimed to provide maximum living space, often featuring large, open salons, panoramic windows, and comfortable, well-appointed cabins. One of their more popular and successful models was the 453 Motor Yacht.
The Silverton 453 MY, which was built between 1999 and 2003, is a cavernous, high-volume vessel famously known as a "floating condo". By replacing traditional walk-around side decks with molded staircases to the bridge - Silverton's signature "SideWalk" design - the 453 maximizes interior space, boasting dimensions and a layout rivaling much larger yachts. It features a spacious 3-stateroom, 2-head layout. The amidships VIP stateroom is massive and nearly identical in size to the aft full-beam master cabin.
