Valhalla Boatworks V-28
The V-28 utilizes the patented Stepped-V Ventilated Tunnel running surface from Michael Peters Yacht Design, reducing drag while increasing speed, stability and efficiency.
Power options include a single Mercury V10 425 Verado, twin Mercury V6 225s, twin Mercury V8 300s and twin Yamaha I4 200s with Helm Master EX Joystick. Dometic jack plates are included with each engine package, giving owners the shallow-water capability and handling control expected from a serious bay boat.
With an 18-inch draft with the outboards up and a 22-inch draft with the outboards down and jack plates up, owners and crews can fish shallow-water bays or run outside on calm days to near-shore reefs. The V-28 also carries 130 gallons of fuel, 28 gallons of freshwater and a 600-hp max engine rating.
The V-28 maximizes live well and fishbox capacity, featuring dual 25-gallon pressurized live wells in the corners of the aft casting platform. Owners can also add a 28-gallon live well at the bow. The V-28 includes port and starboard aft fishboxes plumbed to a Whale Gulper pump for easy draining and maintenance.
There is no shortage of lockable rod storage on the V-28. Port and starboard rod storage with reel pads are standard, and the forward port and starboard storage boxes can be converted to rod lockers. Additional Gemlux rod holders, lockable swivel rod holders, cup/rod holders and electric reel outlets are also available.
The helm features premium equipment and electronics options, including Garmin and Simrad multifunction displays, sonar modules, transducers, radar options, VHF, autopilot, FLIR thermal camera and Sionyx low-light camera. The helm also includes backlit push-button switching, a black acrylic helm panel, fiberglass helm pod and a port glove box with USB, USB-C and 12V charging.
An optional hardtop is available with polished aluminum supports, forward- and aft-facing Lumitec Mirage spreader lights, a five-rod rocket launcher, molded-in overhead electronics pod, molded-in radar pod, overhead lighting and recessed speakers. Owners can also add Gemlux outriggers, Lumitec Razor light bars and a custom stand-on console second station for a height advantage while sight fishing.
The V-28’s seating is both practical and flexible, with an aft casting deck flip-up bench seat, leaning post or helm seat module, console seat and available forward casting deck cushions with backrests. Release Marine teak accents, upgraded upholstery, Diamond/Bentley stitching and synthetic teak options add to the finished look.
Trolling motors are part of everyday fishing on a bay boat, and the V-28 is built for that style of fishing. Options include 36V trolling motors from Minn Kota, Power-Pole and Garmin, each paired with a 100Ah lithium battery, charger and custom installation. Power-Pole hydraulic anchors are also available.
Serviceability is a key design objective for Valhalla, with maximized bilge access through the flip-up bench seat on the forward section of the aft casting deck. Clear access to mechanicals such as the Hooker sea chest live well system, seacocks and bilge pumps makes maintenance easier.
Viking and Valhalla expertise, quality and craftsmanship deliver another serious center console – shallow enough for the back bays, capable enough for the tournament circuit and built with the same DNA found throughout the V Series.
