Waves of Passion: How the Robinson Family Turned Fishing into a Lifelong Adventure

The Early Adventures

Learning boat maintenance, navigation, and fishing techniques from his father, George Jr., became a cornerstone of the family’s maritime tradition. Early experiences like steering a boat at 2:00 a.m. at just 16 years old laid the foundation for what would become Team Polarizer.

The Birth of a Fishing Team

In 2003, the family purchased their first boat, marking the beginning of a new generation’s marine adventures. The name “Polarizer” was cleverly chosen, reflecting both their polarized sunglasses and competitive spirit. As they believe, “A bad day of fishing is better than a good day working!”

Competitive Spirit and Family Bonding

With the acquisition of a 2013 55′ Viking Convertible in 2015, Team Polarizer elevated their fishing game. Sons George IV and Greg joined the team, creating a family-driven competitive fishing unit that travels from the Chesapeake Bay to Nantucket, and from the Abacos to Key West.

Looking Forward

As they anticipate their new 64′ Viking, the Polarizer team continues to embody their love for fishing, family, and the open sea. Their journey is a testament to passion, tradition, and the unbreakable bonds formed on the water.

For the Robinsons, fishing isn’t just a hobby—it’s a way of life!
