BackWe’re Back! While COVID forced our decision to cancel the 2020 Special Kids Fishing Event, this year we are lucky that both the Ocean City Marlin & Tuna Club and the Ocean City Yacht Club support resuming the Special Kids FIshing event on Sunday June 13th 2021. Fishing For Kids Day is an annual event hosted by the OCean City Marlin Tuna Club and The Ocean City Yacht Club that brings together families with children that have special needs for a fun day of fishing. COVID conscious guidelines have been added to ensure the safety of participants.
While the event will largely resemble past events, we will make some changes to manage risk. Changes include:
1. 50% of group will be permitted to participate. In 2019 we had roughly 100 People, we will limit to 50 of immediate in-home families. No relatives, cousins, grandparents unless they are raising the child etc.
2. We will have outdoor tent seating for breakfast such as the Yacht Club had last summer.
3. We will have temperature scanners on site to scan every participant including boat owners and mates.
4. We will have a supply of masks for those who forget to bring a mask.
5. Masks will be required as per state mandates.
6. We will limit 1 family per boat.
