The Back Cove 33 is a larger yacht with the same simple features, usability and maintenance which have built the popularity of the Back Cove brand.
Below deck is a large and comfortable vee-berth, convertible L-settee with a beautifully inlaid salon table. To starboard we created a large head with separate stall shower. On the helm deck, a full galley stretches out aft of the helm seat and to port is a dinette where four adults can sit to enjoy a meal. The inlaid table is a fine example of the Maine boat builder's craftsmanship and tradition, which is evident throughout the Back Cove 33. Forward of the dinette, a double mate's seat is a comfortable perch for the navigator.
The helm deck is airy and bright with overhead hatches, opening side windows and a center opening windshield. A Stidd helm chair provides comfort for the helmsman underway.
In her cockpit a large bench seat allows comfortable lounging while underway or when anchored in a peaceful cove.
Engine access is extraordinary, as the helm deck, including the port side dinette, raises to expose the yacht's mechanical systems.
She is getting ready for a detail. Her engine room will be spruced up and her topsides will be waxed. She was Awlgripped about seven years ago and her blue is blue.
She looks like her pictures and is cared for regularly.
Let her owner's change in plans be your opportunity to take off and make your memories.
She has all the creature comforts needed for a day or extended time on the water.
Attention to detail like outside shades to keep the cabin cool make her a pleasure to enjoy.

She is new to the market.
The Back Cove 33 (called the Back Cove 34 in 2012) is a handsome Downeast cruiser whose single-diesel efficiency, versatile layout, and leading-edge construction made her one of the more appealing boats in her class. Like all Back Cove models, the 33 rides on a vacuum-bagged, PVC-cored hull with a reverse transom and a shallow prop pocket. The layout is as simple as it is elegant; a large bench seat in the cockpit and raised dinette on the semi-enclosed bridge deck provide seating for family and friends. Note that the in-line galley is positioned behind the helm, opposite the dinette, rather than in the cabin. The entire bridge deck lifts on hydraulic rams for engine access. Belowdecks is a large and comfortable V-berth forward, convertible L-settee with a inlaid teak table to port, and a large head with separate stall shower to starboard. The cabin is finished with varnished cherry joinery, premium hardware, and an elegant teak and holly sole. Wide side decks are a plus, and a Stidd helm chair and bow/ stern thrusters are standard.
Boats like this Back Cove 33 lead the way. Her Deep Vee hull and 480 hp Cummins engine will get her on plane at 10 knots. She will cruise efficiently at 14-18 knots while sipping fuel at 12 gallons per hour. On deck she is practical and well laid out. Wide side decks and oversized hand rails add safety.
