History
The first owner purchased the boat new and kept it in Lake Mead in a covered slip. They had an identical boat in Texas that they liked and wanted a second one in Lake Mead for when they spent time there. They also had other boats at Lake Mead so the marina said they simply did not understand why they wanted to order another boat. The owner had very little financial constrains so cost/value was never a factor. The marina said that he rarely used the 400 Sundancer because he simply was not there much. The boat had 28 hrs on the engines and 21 hours on the generator as of August of 2021. The marina said that many of those hours were from them running things to keep things in good working order, during and after regular maintenance. There were a number of things that were still in the plastic(like remotes, etc) that showed the boat had very little use.
The second owner purchased the boat in August of 2021 and had it transported to Lake Michigan(Grand Haven, MI). It has been used primarily as a weekend boat for the last 3 years. Current engine hours are just over 300 and 65 hrs on the Generator. Most engine hours are low rpm due to now wake in the area of the marina and the lake nearby(Spring Lake). The boat was used for 2 trips to northern Michigan, 1 trip to southern Michigan, and 1 trip to Chicago. The rest of the time it spent in Grand Haven/Spring Lake area.
Maintenance has been handled by Safe Harbor Grand Isle Marina with an “open checkbook” approach.
The boat has been in freshwater since new. The current owners love the boat but are simply upgrading to a larger boat.
