Welcome aboard this Carver 396 Motor Yacht 2004. “Freedom Afloat” has been meticulously maintained and is in excellent condition, boasting several upgrades. Powered by Volvo TAM 6 diesel engines with approximately 2440 hours of use and a Kohler 10KW generator (with around 1026 hours), Freedom Afloat also features a factory-installed bow thruster and an aftermarket side shift stern thruster. The turbochargers were refurbished three years ago, with new bearings and seals, as well as new wastegates. Its design offers nearly 7 feet of headroom in the salon, providing more interior space than any other 40-foot boat on the market. This model was only manufactured from 2000 to 2006. The bridge enclosure boasts Polycarbonate front windows, while the rest is made of strata glass, all in excellent condition. The helm is equipped with a Raymarine 12" Axiom GPS with Navionics (Canada/US) software charting, along with a Raymarine VHF, Autopilot, Raymarine Quantum 2 Doppler 18" Radar, and Raymarine AIS700. There's also an exceptional Clarion stereo system with multiple speakers and remote control on the aft deck. New 440Watt Victron Energy Solar MPPT 100/30 Controller w/bluetooth, new 1000 watt Furrion pure sine wave Inverter, Starlink for internet on the water, new accumulator water pressure tank, Kuuma Propane Gas Grill.

Additional features include bow pads for relaxation, a Bluewater Dinghy Lift*, an anchor washdown, a stainless steel 40lb with 125 feet of 5/8 chain + 125ft 5/8" rode, and windlass pedals on the bow with helm controls as well. 

Inside, the salon offers two reclining chairs on the starboard side and a sofa with pull-out storage on the port side. The galley is equipped with a microwave, new electric 2 burner Induction cooktop, fridge and freezer. For comfort, the yacht features three air conditioners/heat units for zone-controlled comfort in the main salon, V-berth, and master stateroom. There are two staterooms and two heads, each with showers. The salon boasts a 40" flat-screen TV w new smart TV Rocu box, while the master stateroom has another flat-screen TV. LED lighting is found throughout the vessel, providing energy-efficient illumination.
