The Mainship 390 Trawler serves as a stylish coastal cruiser with classic trawler lines and respectable speed. Unlike a conventional trawler with a full-displacement hull, the 390 is built on a faster modified-V hull featuring flat after-sections and a shallow, full-length keel. Inside, it boasts generous space thanks to its wide 14'2" beam. The visibility from the lower helm is excellent, and a deck door provides easy access to the fore-deck. At the rear, a sliding glass door opens to the covered cockpit, where molded steps (instead of a ladder) lead up to the extended flybridge. Additional features include deep, well-protected side decks, an integral swim platform, and a transom door. The interior is spacious and beautifully finished in teak wood. The boat is equipped with Raymarine Autopilot and Garmin sonar/GPS/chartplotter, along with bow and stern thrusters. A single 300hp Cat diesel engine enables the Mainship 390 to cruise at 10-12 knots (with a maximum speed of approximately 14 knots).

The Mainship 390 Trawler combines modern technology with years of expertise in building thousands of trawlers. Inside the roomy cabin, there is a lower helm station complete with full instrumentation and a windshield equipped with wipers and washers. The salon showcases warm teak complemented by designer fabrics, a color television and a stereo, and opening windows with screens. Deck access is simplified for shorthanded cruising with a starboard helm sliding door. There is also a large screened sliding door leading to the cockpit. The 390 Trawler's galley is well-equipped for cruising or entertaining, featuring a range, an oven, a microwave, a full-size refrigerator, an oversized sink, ample cabinets, and Corian countertops.
The spacious master stateroom includes a center island bed, cedar-lined hanging lockers, an opening portlight and hatch, plus additional storage. For guests, a second stateroom offers twin berths along with a hanging locker, storage, an opening hatch, and a portlight. Lastly, the easy-to-clean, molded fiberglass head features a built-in vanity, a shower, an electric marine toilet, an opening hatch, a portlight, and a mirror. The power for travel is supplied by a standard single diesel engine or optional twin engines.
Both options include freshwater cooling, an engine alarm system, and a standard fire extinguisher system. To facilitate docking, a bow thruster is standard on single engine boats and optional on those with twin engines. The flybridge provides a spacious area for entertaining or relaxing, seating for over six, and a drop-leaf table. The center helm offers excellent visibility, full instrumentation, and ample room for electronics. This deck is accessed via a wide, molded stairway with a complete handrail. Forward access to the anchor is safeguarded by a high bulwark and a walk-around deck. In the cockpit, there is plenty of storage with deep wells and a lazarette.
