SOUTH JERSEY YACHT SALES “POLARIZER” TEAM WINS 2ND PLACE IN THE JIMMY JOHNSON QUEST FOR THE RING IN THE CATCH AND RELEASE DIVISION.

Last weekend drew the close of the 1st ever Jimmy Johnson Quest for the Ring Tournament in Atlantic City, NJ. Having the home court advantage, the Polarizer team held first place in the catch and release division of the tournament for the first two days. On the 3rd and last day, team Catch 23, led by basketball icon Micheal Jordan, surpassed them by 600pts.

The events began on Monday with the competition lasting Tuesday through Friday. The event was held at the Marina at the Golden Nugget. Eighty boats and over 600 anglers competed for the championship ring. With a guaranteed $1 million purse, the stakes were high! The team “Roll Grove” had won the tournament with a pay out of $295,000 on a 58’ Ritchie Howell after catching at 679 lb  Blue Marlin. Followed by “Business” a 2016 62’ Viking convertible who won $205,000 for a 73.3lb White Marlin. And in 3rd, Texas Tea a 2020 62’ Spencer who had cashed out $192,000 for a 227 lb Tuna.

The South Jersey Yacht Sales Team competed on the 62’ Viking demo “Polarizer.” It was an honor for our team to participate in this inaugural Atlantic City Tournament and look forward to competing in it again. In the meantime our Sport fishing tournament schedule is still in full effect as we are looking forward to the Stone Harbor Marlin Tournament this weekend.
