Viking Introduces Three New Models

Three New Viking Models Set To Debut in 2019

At the recent Fort Lauderdale Boat Show plans for three new models were unveiled by   Viking Yacht Company including a 38 Billfish, 38 Open and 46 Billfish and all are set to debut in 2019.  Following in the footsteps of the popular 37 Billfish, the 38 Billfish is designed and built for the owner/operator who desires a turn-key twin diesel-powered vessel that offers simplicity, is easy to maintain and has the features and accommodations for offshore trips or overnight weekend cruises.  Like her convertible siblings, the 38 Billfish’s flybridge features Viking’s signature center console walk-around helm.  A single helm chair is standard though there’s an option available to add a second.  The command deck features a salon-like living area with a U-shaped dinette and a fiberglass hi-lo table to port plus additional lounge seating to starboard.  The cockpit, at 109 square-feet, is the largest in its class and mezzanine seating keeps anglers near the action.  Accommodations below include an enclosed head with shower to port and an L-shaped galley to starboard.  The large forward stateroom can be configured with either a single queen-size bed or crossover bunks and two hanging lockers.

The 38 Open shares the same hull as the 38 Billfish and while both have very similar cockpit and mechanical configurations, the command deck and bridge layouts differ.  The command deck of the 38 Open features port and starboard L-shaped lounges with storage below and a raised centerline helm which offers excellent 360-degree visibility.  Helm and a port-side pedestal companion chair are also provided.  Below there’s an enclosed head with shower and galley to port and a sofa to starboard.  The forward stateroom offers a lower double and upper single bunk layout plus a hanging locker.

Thanks to the success of the 37 Billfish, Viking also has announced plans to expand its Billfish line with the addition of the 46 Billfish.  “The 46 was a natural progression for the Billfish,” says John Leek IV, General Manager of Viking Mullica where the Billfish series is being manufactured. “Our customers really grasped onto the philosophy behind these boats.”

The 38 Billfish will make her debut at the Viking VIP, hosted by the Viking Yacht Service Center in Riviera Beach, Florida, February 1st and 2nd. Introductions of the 46 Billfish and 38 Open are slated for later in 2019 and both will debut during the fall boat show season.  For more information on these and other Viking models please contact the South Jersey Yacht Sales office.
