The New Albemarle 27 Dual Console

Albemarle 27 Dual Console

Albemarle Boats, The Carolina Classic, a highly regarded builder of offshore sportfishing vessels from 25 to 41 feet has added the 27 Dual Console to its model line.  Set to debut in the fall of this year as the company marks 40 years of boat building, the 27 Dual Console is a new direction from their storied history of building more than 3800 boats, the majority of which have been Express-style offshore sportfishing models.

Featuring a 24-degree deadrise hand-laid solid fiberglass hull that’s backed by a 10 year structural warranty, one-piece construction and superior weather protection, the 27 Dual Console boasts a ride worthy of the Albemarle name.  Powered by reliable and efficient twin Yamaha 200 or 250 horsepower outboards mounted to an Armstrong bracket she also has everything needed for coastal family fun whether anchoring at a sandbar, waterskiing, diving, cruising or taking a leisurely cruise to dinner by boat.

The bow area offers port and starboard cushioned bench seating with bolster cushions and dry insulated storage below the port seat.  Other features include a 12-volt/USB port, anchor locker with hatch and a wind break door.  The port console houses the electric head with holding tank and there’s also storage and medicine cabinets, LED lighting, mirror and solid surface countertop with freshwater sink.  The starboard console steps down to a single berth and there’s also dry storage, LED lighting and lockable rod storage.  Helm area amenities include a helm chair with port side double bench seat, both featuring footrests. Other features include a roomy dash designed for the latest in electronics, stainless steel steering wheel, weather-protected backlit switches and instruments, flush-mounted compass drink holders and a windshield with tempered glass and walk-through door.  Charging ports are located throughout the boat in case you forget to leave your electronic devices at home.

In addition to ample seating, the 58-square-foot cockpit has a huge insulated in-deck fish box with macerator that doubles as additional dry storage.  An insulated multi-purpose transom box is plumbed to serve as a livewell and there’s also a 64-quart cooler beneath the aft-facing seat.  Other cockpit features you’ll find are a molded cabinet with sink and tackle storage, fresh and raw water washdown, cockpit shower, folding transom seat with backrest, and rod storage under the starboard gunwale.  A transom door makes it easy to get from the cockpit to the integrated swim platform and ladder.

Optional hardtop, bow, and cockpit sun shades will keep you cool on hot summer days, while the full height windshield and custom enclosure will keep you dry and comfortable when the weather conditions deteriorate.  Other popular options available include the aforementioned hardtop which also includes the enclosure, ski tow point and spreader lights as well as rod holders and multi-color overhead LED lighting. Gem Lux 18’ carbon fiber outriggers, a folding port side cockpit bench seat and a top mount five rod holder rocket launcher are also available.  Convenience options include Optimus 360 Joystick Control System, anchor windlass, bow table and a cockpit galley package that includes an electric grill, refrigerator and 110-volt dockside power.  For further information contact the South Jersey Yacht Sales office.
